I don’t dream
these days

I turn off and on,
shutdown and reboot

Something’s wrong
with the operating system

I’m a computer
running corrupted code

Malfunctioning from misuse,
stuck in a power-saving mode:

Screensaver on the display
but nothing else will open

I cannot access my memory
or process the loss of you

Without crashing

And when I power down
there is only darkness

I can’t even retrieve
you in my sleep

There is no [Esc]
